Minnesota state-sanctioned pickleball tournaments (run by Minnesota Parks & Recreation/managed by Minnesota Pickleball) cost $35 in 2026 and offer 30 divisions across men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles at 3.0/3.5/4.0/4.5/open, split into ages 49 & under and 50+. The 2026 state tournament is Aug 27–30 in Maple Grove; local Tier-1 events qualify the top 4 teams (8 individual spots) and Tier-2 qualify the top 3 teams (6 individual spots), with individuals free to choose partners, plus points earned for state seeding; light snacks/water provided (no alcohol), and both partners must register/pay within 5 days or be waitlisted.
